Overview: Sr. Java Lead - Las Vegas, NV (Onsite) About the Company: A global digital modernization firm with 20+ years delivering enterprise solutions for Fortune 500 clients.
Key Responsibilities: - Lead and mentor a Java development team delivering scalable, reusable, high-quality code - Build Spring Boot microservices, RESTful APIs, and ensure API validation - Partner with business and architects to translate requirements into detailed designs - Perform code reviews, drive best practices, maintain documentation and development standards - Collaborate with front-end teams for seamless UI integration - Debug, optimize performance, and ensure fault-tolerant systems - Drive Agile ceremonies (scrum, grooming, retrospectives) and user story management - Ensure CI/CD, logging, and monitoring are robust and production-ready - Support cross-functional teams, especially in financial domain solutions - Mentor junior developers and foster continuous learning
Required Skills: - 15+ years' software development, strong Java, Spring Boot, RESTful microservices - Hands-on with ORM frameworks (Hibernate, Entity, Dapper) - API AuthN/AuthZ using oAuth - RDBMS: Oracle, MS SQL, or Postgres - Automated testing (JUnit) and API validation (Swagger, Postman) - Tools: Jira, Git Lab, Docker, Sonar Qube, Kafka (nice to have) - Logging/monitoring: ELK, Kibana, Dynatrace - Strong Agile/Scrum experience; leadership in sprints and code quality - Financial domain experience preferred - Awareness of BIAN framework (nice to have) - Excellent communication and collaboration with tech and business stakeholders
