Full time Perm On site in NYC - Midtown East Manhattan - 5 days a week$200K base + very generous bonusC++ Engineer (Market Access) We are seeking a highly skilled C++ Engineer with deep expertise in low-latency market access systems to design, build, and optimize connectivity to global exchanges. This role is ideal for an engineer with extensive experience in modern C++, performance-critical systems, and electronic trading environments, who wants to work on ultra-fast, mission-critical infrastructure.

Responsibilities: Design, develop, and optimize low-latency market access gateways and exchange connectivity components. Implement new exchange protocols, order entry, and market data handlers across global markets. Enhance performance through micro-optimizations, lock-free programming, CPU/memory profiling, and latency-reduction techniques. Collaborate closely with traders, quants, and infrastructure teams to deliver robust, high-performance trading systems. Maintain and improve reliability, throughput, and system observability across all market access components. Participate in full software lifecycle: design, testing, deployment, monitoring, and incident response.

Qualifications: Expert-level C++ (C++17/20), with deep knowledge of templates, STL internals, optimization, concurrency, and memory models. Extensive experience working in finance, ideally in market access, HFT, low-latency trading, or market data systems. Strong understanding of network programming, kernel bypass technologies, multicast, TCP/UDP, and high-performance messaging. Hands-on experience with Linux internals, performance tuning, CPU affinity, and profiling tools. Experience with exchange protocols (OUCH, FIX/FIXP, binary protocols, proprietary APIs).Ability to work in high-pressure, rapid-iteration environments with a focus on precision and stability. Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related technical field.

Preferred Experience: Background in equities, options, futures, or FX market structure. Experience with packet capture/analysis, kernel tuning, and ultra-low-latency optimization. Familiarity with Python for tooling and automation. Experience improving end-to-end system performance: networking, hardware, OS, and application layers.
