Job Description:
The purpose of the Indexing Team is to accurately identify and classify medical records and prepare them for review by the Medical Record Coding Teams within established market timeframes. Indexing initiatives are supported by internal quality audits, employee education, the creation of best practices and by ensuring all approved guidelines are being upheld. Position Details:
The position of Medical Records Indexer is a full time, work at home position. The Medical Records indexing department is responsible for input of medical record data into the client Appxtender document management system. We are looking for a candidate with a professional, positive outlook and can assist the team in maintaining a turnaround of 48 hours form processing time, across all client Health plans.
The ideal candidate for the position of Medical Records Indexer/ Administrative Clerk would possess the following:
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum typing speed of 40 WPM. (Include typing test with WPM and accuracy)
Basic knowledge of medical records interpretation.
Good organizational skills and must be detail oriented.
1 year minimum of data entry experience.
1 year minimum of Microsoft Office experience, including Outlook and Excel.
Experience with The Appxtender Document Management system is a plus not required.
Friendly and professional disposition.
The candidate must possess above average writing skills.
Must be able to maintain or exceed a minimum of 500 indexed pages per hour.
Must be able to maintain or exceed a minimum 95% accuracy rate for all indexed pages.
Candidate must possess a level of discretion and confidentiality and a proactive, problem-solving mindset.
