Remote | Eastern or Central Time Zone preferred You know the eDiscovery business. You understand the buyers, the terminology, and the challenges law firms and corporate legal departments face. Avalon is growing our legal solutions business and looking for an Account Executive who enjoys developing new relationships, creating opportunities, and winning business. This is a great opportunity for someone who has developed a strong foundation in eDiscovery or legal technology sales and is ready to take the next step in their career. You do not need to bring a massive book of business. You do need to know how to prospect, earn credibility with clients, and turn conversations into opportunities. What You’ll Sell Avalon has supported the legal industry for more than 25 years. Our solutions span the litigation lifecycle, giving our sales team multiple ways to start and expand client relationships:eDiscovery processing and hosting Digital forensics and collections Managed document review Legal staffing and staff augmentation Cybersecurity Litigation support and document services Instead of selling one product, you can help clients solve a range of legal, technology, and litigation challenges.
What You’ll Do:
You will own the business development process from prospecting through close. That includes: Identifying and developing new relationships with law firms and corporate legal departments Building a consistent pipeline through Linked In, email, phone outreach, referrals, networking, and industry events Leading discovery conversations to understand a client's litigation, technology, staffing, or business challenges Working with Avalon's eDiscovery, forensics, managed review, and other subject-matter experts to develop the right solution Managing opportunities from initial conversation through proposal, negotiation, and close Developing relationships with attorneys, litigation support professionals, legal operations teams, procurement leaders, and technology stakeholders Expanding existing relationships by introducing clients to additional Avalon capabilities Maintaining an organized pipeline and accurate forecast in our CRMStaying connected to developments in eDiscovery, legal technology, AI, and the broader legal services market Who We’re Looking For This role is designed for someone who has already built a foundation in legal services sales and wants an opportunity to grow. You may be a strong fit if you have: Approximately 4-10 years of B2B sales experience, ideally within eDiscovery, legal technology, litigation support, managed review, legal staffing, or a closely related professional-services environment Experience developing new business rather than relying primarily on inbound leads or an existing account baseA working understanding of the eDiscovery lifecycle and the legal professionals who buy these services Demonstrated success building pipeline and closing business Confidence conducting consultative conversations with attorneys and other senior client stakeholders Experience using Linked In and other digital channels to identify prospects and build relationships Strong follow-through, organization, and personal accountability The ability to work independently while partnering closely with technical and operational expertsA large existing book of business is not a requirement.
