Director of Electrical Engineering Responsibilities Provide high-level management and strategic oversight of the electrical engineering function, including staffing, development, and resource planning. Develop overall project assignment strategies, balancing workload and project complexity across the team. Identify and address gaps in coverage, capability, or processes, resolving technical disputes with sound judgment. Review large, high-risk projects at an executive level, ensuring design integrity for cost and safety. Own and validate the accuracy of engineering data, including drawings, BOMs, and project records. Director of Electrical Engineering Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. Over 8 years of progressive electrical engineering experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting. Prior leadership or management experience overseeing electrical teams. Strong knowledge of electrical codes and standards such as NEC, UL, ANSI, IEEE. Proven experience developing or improving engineering processes, standards, and data management practices.
