They work with category-leading media, sports, and entertainment brands to deliver next-generation direct-to-consumer video experiences.\n\nThey're expanding into new device platforms and looking for an engineer with deep expertise building high-performance TV applications for LG webOS, Samsung Tizen, and other browser-based devices.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\n Architecting, developing and maintaining high-quality BBD applications for LG, Samsung and other connected TV platforms\n Owning the full development lifecycle from concept through store submission, certification and post-release support\n Implementing pixel-perfect UI from Figma designs, adapting for device-specific capabilities and constraints\n Building and extending SDK components tailored for BBD platforms\n Troubleshooting, debugging and optimising apps for smooth playback and responsive performance on constrained hardware\n Participating in on-call rotation and contributing to incident management\n Collaborating closely with product, design and QA teams to deliver features on time and to a high bar\n\n\nIdeal Profile:\n\n 3+ years building commercial TV applications for LG webOS, Samsung Tizen or other browser-based device platforms\n Proficient in Java Script/Type Script, HTML5 and CSS, with familiarity in frameworks such as React, Enact, Tizen APIs or webOS SDKs\n Experience managing application packaging, certification and deployment pipelines for TV app stores\n Strong understanding of browser rendering paradigms (WebGL vs WebGPU vs DOM)\n Experience integrating apps with HTTP and Web Socket APIs (REST, JSON-RPC, gRPC, etc.)\n Knowledge of optimising UI rendering, memory usage and performance on constrained TV hardware\n Familiarity with remote-control navigation paradigms and focus-based UI navigation\n Experience writing and maintaining automated tests (unit, integration, UI) for TV/BBD apps\n Familiarity with React Native and its role in delivering shared web/mobile UI components\n Familiarity with monitoring, logging and performance alerting for connected TV applications\n Strong communication skills and comfortable collaborating across engineering, product and design\n\n\nThis is a great opportunity to join a fast-growing, profitable video technology company at a defining moment in the connected TV space, working fully remote from anywhere in the US.\n\nAPPLY NOW to discuss further details.\n\n 5V Video are acting as an Employment Agency for the purposes of this position.
