Position Summary:
The Senior Strategist at Grizzly is a key contributor to the development of innovative strategic insights and the overall success of client relationships. This individual plays a critical role in research, planning, and strategic execution, helping guide brands through discovery, insight generation, positioning, and creative alignment. The Senior Strategist is a trusted advisor to clients and an integral member of the project team.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning, Analysis & Evaluation Conduct research on brand positioning, audience behavior, cultural trends, and market landscapes Analyze data and insights to create informed, forward-thinking strategies Develop project scopes, strategic briefs, timelines, and proposals Translate business objectives into actionable plans for creative and marketing execution Write clear, inspiring creative briefs and guide the team through the strategy process Team Leadership & Client Collaboration Partner with account leads to align strategic direction with client goals Present strategies and insights to clients and internal stakeholders Help lead new business pitches and growth initiatives Support and mentor junior strategists and team members Actively foster strong, long-term client relationships based on value and trust Project Management & Delivery Manage assigned strategy projects from kickoff to delivery Guide long-term brand and campaign development across marketing channels Measure, track, and report on strategy impact and outcomes Design and oversee research initiatives, both qualitative and quantitative Lead the development of marketing plans, measurement frameworks, and strategic deliverables Internal Development Contribute to the development of new processes and tools that elevate strategy work Collaborate with other departments to build integrated client solutions Assist in the creation of thought leadership content and client-facing reports Help evolve Grizzly's strategic offerings and internal capabilities Qualifications 5+ years of experience in brand, communications, or marketing strategy Proven success in building brand frameworks and integrated strategic plans Strong analytical and conceptual thinking skills Excellent communication, presentation, and writing skills Adept at collaborating cross-functionally and managing complex projects Experience in client services, new business, and account growth Understanding of digital ecosystems and marketing platforms Self-starter with strong time management and organizational abilities
Work Requirements:
Must be located within a one-hour drive of San Diego, CAFlexibility with schedule to meet client commitments Domestic and international travel may be required
